Here is the criteria which needs to be met in order to become an Endless Mountains Business Association Member:
Your business needs to be located in the Blue Ridge School district. Also a membership form printed out, completed and mailed along with a check for the fee for the year of 2007 for $45.00 made payable to the Endless Mountains Business Association. There are exciting things happening in the Susquehanna County area, and it is in our positive interest to be a part of what is going on. Another year has begun, and with it, more possibilities present themselves to our association and individual businesses.
Here is what being a member of the EMBA will do for you.
First, included with your membership is a free business listing in the EMBA’s newly developed web site. If you do not already have a web site, this will put your business on the Internet. If you do have a web site, EMBA’s site will directly link to yours. Our site has some wonderful features that are new and growing. Just to list a few, there is a “Current Events” page where you can go to read the latest articles available from our association. There is a “Photo Gallery” page in which there will be photos of items of interest. Also, there is a “Member’s Only” page. This page will only be able to be viewed by the EMBA members and it will contain information such as our meeting minutes, notes from our guest speakers, or any other information we might choose to keep private from the “Internet” world.
Second, you will become part of a group of business owners and employees just like yourself. You will be able to meet monthly with these people to talk about any ideas, concerns, or the trials and joys that come with being a small business.
Third, being a member will keep your fingers on the pulse of what is happening in the Rt. 11 – I 81 Corridor. Already this year we have met with members of the newly developed Susquehanna County Railroad Authority. It was an informative and insightful meeting. There are more guest speakers to come.
Last, insurance coverage will be offered by the Montrose Area Chamber of Commerce (Chamber Choice Insurance) as it was last year.
We also believe there is power in numbers. It is our goal to increase our current membership this year. We hope our members will take an active interest in participating in upcoming events.
